Dan Majestic writes from New York: As the big Election in America approaches and all sorts of experts and commentators give us their take on the race that is supposedly a dead heat, according to opinion polls, the thing that becomes blindingly obvious is that all these surveys of public opinion are there to confuse and distort things.
Yes, in case you haven’t noticed, political opinion polls allow vested groups of interest and aggressive ideologies to influence elections and impose their views on the voters. These surveys have got nothing to do with fairness or objectivity. It’s a con, pure and simple.
