New Albums: Robbie Williams – Take The Crown
It appears just one day short of 3 years since what was billed as the Robbie Williams comeback album, Reality Killed The Video Star, was released.Take The Crown is Robbie’s newest solo album since his return to Take That in 2010 for the album Progress, which sold over 2 million copies. It’s only been a couple of years since we last had Robbie Williams on the music scene. Robbie Williams was his supposed master-class and live performance on the X Factor, just one day before the lead single Candy was released. Take The Crown is Robbie’s 9th album but the question is, “Can Robbie Williams still be relevant in 2012?” There is nothing new here. Songs I like are: Hey Wow Yeah Yeah which has the edge that’s missing elsewhere. It’s progressive and actually sounds as if he’s enjoying himself on the vocal.
