Dan Majestic writes from Washington: Spare a thought for those voters in America who like neither President Barack Obama nor Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Why is it that there’s never a credible third independent candidate in the US presidential elections, for people to vote for as an alternative? It’s easy to imagine why so many Americans would be sceptical about both candidates. Mr Obama, by all standards, failed to deliver on his promises and wasted time and a hell of a lot of money on things that don’t really matter all that much.
Meanwhile Romney must be a turn off to very many people as well, with his weird look in the eyes, his woodiness and, of course, his weird faith. You can go on the Internet type in the word ‘Mormons’ and read all about this strange religion that worships a god who lives on a planet in the Kolob galaxy and has two sons, Jesus and Lucifer.People who don’t like both Obama and Romney is the arrogance of the American media shoving preferred candidates down their throats. Journalism is the second most ancient profession after prostitution so hacks should be the last people to influence any elections.
