Peter Jackson and The Hobbit must do battle with their most dangerous foe - Tolkien-induced boredom. Rick Dixon writes from Cambridge about Peter Jackson’s latest film. This is a satirical review of another film set in Middle Earth and the film is you guessed it The Hobbit. Many of you I am sure went to see it at the pictures last month to watch it with your kids at the cinema. If this is you then you will be able to relate with today's comical review.

Its great to find a decent children’s book because these sort of books can be read in school. The Hobbit is a prime example of books read at school, the professor who wrote this book perhaps knew this and had some language skills to share with students back in the early days of writing the books similar to the Hobbit.
The fact that they have made it into a film suggests that Tolkien really hit the jackpot when he finished writing the Hobbit.

An interesting part of today's review is the review of the other reviewers who previously reviewed The Lord of The Rings trilogy. Rick makes humorous observations about the growing number of fans on-line of elves, goblins, wizards and hairy slippers. He also highlights a few interesting things about Tolkien that I suspect you did not know about.
